From getting ready, to your final exit, and everything in between. I can capture your day however you want: digitally, on 35mm film, or with a mix of the two.
Digital photos are ideal for those lower light situations, capturing movement, and working in a faster paced space. I work with a camera that dual records your images, to ensure nothing gets lost.
Film photos are more suited to capturing memories that feel nostalgic and frozen in time. I learned to photograph on a camera from 1979 that is still my go-to film one. Rolls of film are limited to 36 shots per roll, meaning I capture with intention. While there may be less overall photos taken, the limitation on how many I can take means I’m much more selective of the click of the shutter, resulting in a gallery full of keepers.
Ideally, we’d use a mix of both. We’d capture mainly digital images while you’re rushing around getting ready, with a photoshoot after the dress is on and you’re adding the final touches. During this photoshoot moment, I’d take a few timeless film images. This theme would run throughout the day: primarily using my digital camera, and taking a second shot on my film camera of the really special moments that I know will shine through my 1979 Pentax lens.
